  • At this time Globe Soup cannot provide feedback on entries to the competition. If you want to get feedback on your entry, please join our Facebook group and participate in the feedback exchanges.

  • By participating this contest, you accept that a significant portion of the entries will have gone through two rounds of feedback from other writers participating in the contest.

  • If you decide to join in the feedback exchanges before the deadline, you accept any and all circumstances resulting from this participation. If you are concerned about a fellow member stealing your ideas or plagiarising your work, we’d recommend submitting your story before you participate in the exchange. This will ensure your work is officially submitted and timestamped, providing an extra layer of protection for your intellectual property. That said, plagiarism is extremely rare in writing communities. Most writers are passionate about developing their own ideas and would prefer to work on their own creative projects rather than copying from others. While plagiarism is a potential risk any time you share your work with others, it's a small risk, and the benefits of receiving valuable feedback often far outweigh the concerns. However, by participating in the feedback exchanges, you acknowledge that Globe Soup cannot be held responsible for any issues that may arise from sharing your work with others.

  • The winner will receive £2,000. Globe Soup reserves the right to delay announcing the winner due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • The winner will be required to provide a short bio and a photograph of themselves to appear alongside the winning piece. A pen name or alias is permitted.

  • We do allow simultaneous submissions. If your story gets published elsewhere before the results of this contest are announced, you must contact us to withdraw your entry.

  • All participants own the rights to their work, and after the competition closes, they are free to publish elsewhere. The winner grants Globe Soup the right to publish the winning story on their website. Globe Soup will only publish the winning entry.

  • Globe Soup cannot, for any reason, choose NOT to award the prize.

  • Questions about the competition in general should be sent to info@globesoup.net. For a quick reply, direct any queries to our Facebook Page. Globe Soup cannot answer questions about individual entries where that question would remove the writer’s anonymity.
