Sandy is at his home harbour and meets his friend, Annabel, who is visiting. They take a walk round the harbour, talking to the local residents, before going for ice cream. The story incorporates some history of the fishing industry and descriptions of the harbour in bye-gone days.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Helen Cormack is a part time author and a project management leader in the field of education. She has written four children’s books in the Sandy the Seal series which have been well received by younger readers. She has also completed many short stories and flash fiction pieces some of which have been published in anthologies. As well as continuing with short stories for adults, she is currently developing an anthology of short pieces on the theme of Remembered Children with fictional accounts of children who have died.
She lives in Stirling in Scotland in one of the most beautiful parts of the country and close to the Highland mountains.
