Why join?

• At the end of each writing competition, members of the group can join the FEEDBACK EXCHANGE. Swap your story, poem or article with other participants and receive extensive feedback on your work. Giving and receiving feedback is one of the best ways to see your writing improve. This exchange programme is the heart of the Globe Soup experience and sets us apart from other writing competitions. Entering one of our contests is therefore incredibly valuable to all participants, not just the lucky winner!

• In the Members-Only Group, members are encouraged to promote their writing. If you have a blog, website, book or e-book you would like to get eyes on, you are welcome to share links in the group. We have found that other writers often make the most engaged and supportive fans.

• We often run free to enter, mini writing competitions with cash prizes that are only open to members of the group and just by being part of the group, you get a discount on entry for all Globe Soup’s main competitions.

• Being a part of the group will help keep you motivated to write. Discussing your work with other members, sharing ideas, brainstorming…. it all helps keep you to work towards your writing goals. Any time you feel stuck, disillusioned or apathetic about writing, just come visit the group, our members will help get you back on track!

• Hearing the success stories of other members will inspire you and getting encouragement and support from your peers will fortify your will to write. You can also share your own triumphs in the group to inspire others.

• You will always have other writers to turn to. Can’t decide which ending to choose for your novel? Stuck for a name for one of your characters? Need inspiration for your next project? Being part of the group means you can fire off a question and get advice from a pool of experts. If you have a writing problem you can’t solve, chances are someone in the group will be able to help!

• Make new friends and network! There’s something about writers (perhaps it’s the solitary nature of writing), that means when you get a group of them together they become a family. We love seeing friendships made in the group, we love watching members helping and encouraging each other. The different levels of skill, experience and success of people in the group means there’s always someone you can learn from.
